ABOUT THE OWNERS

Ivy Hill Farm is a family owned & operated facility. We have been at this location for over 15 years and it has been a labor of love. The McDermott's live on the property year round so there is almost always someone at the house keeping an eye on things.  Most of the horses at the farm are personal horses and the boarder's horses are treated like one of our own.

Amanda has been showing for 15+ years on the USEF hunter/jumper circuits, also dabbling in the AQHA circuits, and involved in the local show circuits. For a few years she ran a professional sales barn and training/lesson program out of Ivy Hill Farm placing many horses with wonderful homes. A perfect match is the one of the most important aspects when a horse leaves the barn, if you view our sales page you will find many previous sales still listed and still with their happy families along with some new ones. Now Amanda no longer has the lesson or professional sales program and the past couple of years returned to showing herself in the amateur rings. Along with returning to horse showing as an amateur Amanda & Maureen ventured into opening a local tack shop called Pegasus Closet. You can view more information on Pegasus Closet below. Needless to say we hope the many years of showing, horse care, and willingness to treat your horse as one of our own will leave you feeling comfortable leaving your horse or pony in the care of Ivy Hill Farm.
